Grand Canyon Resort Corporation Announces Selection of Weller Architects to Design Two New Guest Facilities at Grand Canyon West

PEACH SPRINGS, AZ (February XX, 2008) –
The Grand Canyon Resort Corporation, owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe, has selected Weller Architects, P.C. for Architectural and Engineering Services at Grand Canyon West (GCW). A competitive Bid Solicitation was held during the 4th Quarter 2007 for two projects at GCW, including development of a 300-acre master plan visitor center at the entrance of GCW, as well as another guest facility that will be built at a dramatic vista overlooking the Grand Canyon.
Weller Architects is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a Native American-owned business. Mr. Louis L. Weller, Principal Owner, is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) and was a key member of the Project Architectural Team responsible for the design and creation of the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington D.C. including both the Cultural Resource Center and the Smithsonian Museum on the Mall.
