DIAMOND CREEK RESTAURANT EARNS COVETED
AAA DIAMOND AWARD

PEACH SPRINGS, AZ (August 28, 2007) Diamond Creek Restaurant has earned the highly recognized AAA 2 Diamond rating for 2007.

“Only properties that meet the strict quality criteria required to become AAA Approved receive a AAA Diamond rating,” said Michael Petrone, the Director of AAA Tourism Information Development.

The Diamond Creek Restaurant is located in the Hualapai Lodge located on Route 66. The restaurant menu features authentic Native American specialties such as the Hualapai taco and Hualapai stew with homemade fry bread. They also offer fresh grill items and all the favorite American menu selections. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We are extremely pleased to have earned this award,” said Sheri YellowHawk, CEO of Grand Canyon Resort Corporation. “It is recognition of the hard work that goes into creating and operating a restaurant establishment.”

More than 57,000 lodgings and restaurants are evaluated by AAA each year. Approved properties are listed in AAAs popular TourBook guides, which are offered free to members, in print and on AAAs member Web site, AAA.com. The AAA Diamond ratings are featured in these listings to facilitate travel decision making. Information about Diamond ratings and trip planning is provided at AAA.com/Diamonds.

AAAs lodging and restaurant evaluations are conducted by a team of 65 highly trained professionals who visit properties throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. AAA first began accommodation information in its travel publications in the early 1900s and in 1937, hired the first field inspectors. The Diamond symbols and current Diamond Rating Process were introduced in 1977.
